Top WWE Star Set For Massive Title Win
A WWE star is projected to win their first major singles title in WWE.
Jade Cargill completed her heel turn on the October 24 episode of SmackDown, taking out Tiffany Stratton and injuring her knee in the process.
Stratton was featured in a singles match against Kiana James, which she won, but faced an attack by Giulia afterward.
Cargill emerged from the back, helping the WWE Women’s Champion by taking out James and Giulia.
She then handed Tiffany Stratton her championship and raised her hand, before laying her out with a clothesline.
What followed was a vicious attack inside and outside the ring, as Cargill threw the 26-year-old over the announcer’s desk.
As the champion lay hurt by the steel steps, The Storm stomped on Stratton’s knee, leaving her crying out in pain.
In a backstage segment, Jade Cargill was asked if she feared consequences. The 33-year-old retorted by saying that mistakes have consequences, and her only mistake was waiting for her opportunity.
Meanwhile, WWE provided fans with a much-needed update on Tiffany Stratton ahead of her match against Cargill at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1.
WWE Determined To Put The Women’s Championship On Jade Cargill
Jade Cargill’s heel turn came as a shock to many WWE fans. Furthermore, her taking out a leg from under Tiffany Stratton may have given her an advantage heading into their upcoming match.
But not everyone is happy with how the heel turn was executed.
Garrett Gonzales discussed the segment on a recent Wrestling Observer Radio session, while also predicting that Cargill is set to win big at SNME.
Jade Cargill in the least subtle ready-to-turn-on-someone save ever came in the ring, did the whole thing—raised Tiffany’s hand, put the belt on her—and then immediately attacked her. It was a pretty long attack as well. So she finally did the heel turn thing. I just thought that this was like… it’s too much of a giveaway. There was no subtlety in this turn at all.
