Top WWE Star Deletes Social Media Account
A major WWE star has deleted Twitter/X.
Sheamus has been out of action since August 18th, 2023 with what’s believed to be a shoulder injury. The former WWE Champion’s last match was a defeat to Edge on SmackDown in Toronto which turned out to be the Canadian star’s last match for the company.
Little is known about Sheamus’ physical condition or when he will be back in the ring. However, in recent days fans have noticed he’s deleted his profile from Twitter/X, but his account remains active on Instagram.
Sheamus Admits Frustration With WWE
Over the course of the last year, Sheamus has been open about his frustration with creative. In January, he suggested his match with Drew McIntyre and Gunther should have been the WrestleMania 39 main event, while he previously suggested WWE squandered momentum built by the Brawling Brutes.
In the star’s absence the group has split up with Butch now teaming with Tyler Bate, and Ridge Holland has returned to NXT.
It’s been reported that Sheamus’ WWE contract expires in 2024, although there are likely several months to be added due to his lengthy absence. There also remains a great deal of uncertainty around his great friend Drew McIntyre who is yet to agree a new deal, despite his contract running out shortly after WrestleMania.
