Will Ospreay has a target on his back.

Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay first met back in April 2022 at NJPW Windy City Riot. At the end of a wild contest, it was Moxley who had his hand raised, although the finish didn’t come without controversy as it appeared the British star kicked out.

The pair are set to meet again at Wrestle Kingdom 18, with David Finlay also thrown into the mix. The match had been scheduled to be a singles bout before Finlay made his presence felt.

Speaking to NJPW, Moxley said he’s far from done with Ospreay.

“Well, it’s lucky that referee isn’t here anymore. If he had stayed, he should’ve been fired. Myself and Will Ospreay went to war all over Chicago in 2022. We gave all we had, blood sweat and tears and braincells.

At the end of the day I had my hand raised, but I think we all know that Will had a little bit more in the tank. If Will wasn’t done, I wasn’t gonna be done. So, if Will wants to keep it going, if he just wants to call that chapter one, then let’s just say that was chapter one. Just the beginning, just the preamble. Will Ospreay and I have barely even begun,”

Moxley looks set to get his wish after Will Ospreay signed with AEW back at Full Gear, and the pair seem destined to keep fighting.

Will Ospreay Gunning For Kazuchika Okada

Speaking in his own interview ahead of Wrestle Kingdom, Will Ospreay made it clear that he’s got his eyes set on Kazuchika Okada. The pair have clashed several times down the years with Ospreay picking up the win during their most recent meeting in the 2023 G1 Climax Tournament.
