Tony Khan’s AEW Announcement Spoiled As Huge Debut Is Imminent

Tony Khan AEW

Tony Khan’s big announcement may have just been spoiled as it seems he could be set to reveal a show as a huge tease of a major debut.

AEW recently teased that Tony Khan has yet another big announcement to make on the 7th of February edition of Dynamite. In the past Khan’s much-memed big announcements have ranged from CM Punk making his return to Collision, tickets going on sale for All In, the purchase of Ring of Honor, to talents joining the company.

Tony Khan also used a big announcement to reveal The First Dance edition of Rampage which was held in Chicago, Illinois in 2021 that was code for CM Punk’s arrival. It seems Khan is set to repeat the trick with another huge star.

Tony Khan To Reveal AEW In Boston?

WrestleVotes noted that the TD Garden in Boston may have spoiled Khan’s announcement by advertising a Dynamite and Rampage show to be held there on March 13th. Ticketmaster is also advertising the event with tickets set to go on sale on February 10th.

If this proves to be Tony Khan’s announcement then it might be a nod and a wink to Mercedes Mone finally joining AEW and debuting in her home city.

The future of the former Sasha Banks has been the talk of the wrestling world for well over a year now. She was seen on camera at AEW All In in 2023 but many expected Mercedes Mone to return to WWE. Talks between those two sides collapsed and a future in Tony Khan’s company now looks to be all but confirmed.
