Tony Khan Open To Running Special AEW Show

Tony Khan has big plans for AEW.

2025 has been a huge year for the AEW women’s division, which now stands as arguably the strongest in the world. Furthermore, the company has introduced Women’s Tag Team Titles and held the first-ever women’s Blood & Guts Match.

On a more individual basis, Mercedes Mone and “Timeless” Toni Storm have established themselves as two of the biggest stars in the entire industry, and an ‘AEW original’ now holds the World Championship.

But even bigger things could be on the horizon.

Tony Khan Could Launch New AEW Event

Speaking during the ROH Final Battle post-show media scrum, Tony Khan was asked about going one step further and holding an all-women’s pay-per-view. Interestingly, he said that there’s definitely the potential for it to happen.

“I think certainly having more events that include more and more women’s championships and matches has been fantastic. I think the depth of the women’s wrestling in AEW and ROH has just continued to get better and better…

Whatever platform or however it were to happen, there’s a lot of ways it could happen.”

Khan went on to discuss the possibility of expanding on the Global Wars concept and bringing in women from all over the world.

“Global Wars technically is a streaming special. We don’t call it a pay-per-view, but really it all is on the same app, and you’re paying for the whole thing the same…

Definitely an event, an all-women’s event with women from all over is something I have thought about and again, potentially a Global Wars, bringing women from all over could be great too.”
