Tony Khan Makes Fiery Return To Dynamite With Top AEW Star

Tony Khan made his return to AEW Dynamite and he didn’t come alone.

On the April 24th edition of AEW Dynamite from Jacksonville, the main event featured Jack Perry asking AEW’s popular Owner, CEO & GM Tony Khan to reinstate him after a lengthy absence. Khan did that and then he hugged Perry, who returned the favor with a punch while holding a microphone.

After Perry knocked Khan down, The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada joined their teammate in The Elite group. That led to The Young Bucks hitting a TK Driver (spiked piledriver) on Khan. It also led to a rare appearance from Tony’s father billionaire Shahid Khan, who appeared on the show to show concern for his injured son.

Following the attack, Tony Khan wore a neckbrace while promoting AEW during the NFL Draft and said he would try to run AEW remotely meaning he wouldn’t be going to shows. By doing this, it allowed The Young Bucks duo of Matthew & Nicholas Jackson to run the show how they wanted, which upset a lot of fans.

The final AEW Dynamite before Double or Nothing took place in Bakersfield, CA with Bryan Danielson beating Satnam Singh by disqualification in the main event. Bryan was attacked by Singh’s allies Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt as well. That’s when The Young Bucks appeared to pay Jarrett’s group for their services.

Danielson was in trouble at that point because The Young Bucks had banned his Double or Nothing tag team partner Darby Allin from the building. It was also announced that FTR were too injured to be there. That meant Danielson was alone against The Elite group, who were ready to put Danielson through a table.

That’s when the parking lot was shown outside of the arena. We would see Darby Allin driven up to the arena by Tony Khan, who gave Allin a fist bump. Moments later, Allin appeared in the arena and he had a Flamethrower in his hands. Bryan Danielson was back up and tossed Nick Jackson through the table by the ramp. Allin was holding the Flamethrower while shooting up flames and Bryan was standing beside him. The Elite retreated at that point. Allin & Bryan celebrated to end the show.

Tony Khan Comments On AEW Dynamite Appearance

Following his unadvertised appearance on AEW Dynamite after being given a TK Driver one month earlier, AEW boss Tony Khan confirmed on Twitter/X that he did have a valid driver’s license.

AEW and Tony Khan present the Double or Nothing PPV this Sunday, May 26th from Las Vegas.
