Tony Khan Reveals His Father’s Favourite AEW Stars

Tony Khan’s father Shad Khan recently made his AEW TV debut in less than ideal circumstances and it turns out he has his favourites in the company.

Tony Khan was recently attacked on AEW Dynamite after reinstating Jack Perry to the roster. Perry had been suspended following his part in a backstage altercation with CM Punk but returned to AEW at Dynasty to help The Young Bucks capture the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Apparently incensed at being suspended in the first place, Perry nailed Khan in the gut with a microphone before The Elite raced to the ring to talk sense into Perry. However, Kazuchika Okada gave The Young Bucks the signal to drop Khan with a TK Driver and they delivered just that.

As the referees tried to get The Elite off the scene many stars of the AEW roster rushed out to check on their boss. Among those concerned was Tony’s father Shad Khan, the automotive billionaire who owns the Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham Football Club.

Tony Khan’s Father A Big Fan Of AEW Newcomer

Speaking to TV Insider, Tony Khan revealed that his father was very angry that he’d been attacked and that Shad Khan has his own favourite AEW stars:

My dad is a big AEW fan. He watches all the time. A few weeks ago I got a text from him during Will Ospreay and Claudio (Castagnoli). He knew them both. He hadn’t seen much of Will Ospreay. He said Ospreay was amazing. I introduced him to Will, and he is now a huge fan of him.

He is a huge fan of Kenny Omega, MJF, Jon Moxley, Orange Cassidy, Dr. Britt Baker, and recently “Timeless” Toni Storm And Mariah May. Also, he had some nice interactions with Swerve (Strickland).

Shad Khan will no doubt be delighted that Kenny Omega will return to AEW television for the first time in months when Dynamite takes place in his home city of Winnipeg.
