Tony Khan Appears Before Live Crowd Following AEW Dynamite
Tony Khan made an in-person appearance following the latest AEW Dynamite broadcast, as the chaotic backstage atmosphere continues following All Out.
It’s been a tumultuous time for All Elite Wrestling this week. CM Punk’s comments during the post-All Out media scrum sparked a reported backstage brawl involving him, Ace Steel, and The Elite that’s led to multiple suspensions and championships being vacated.
Tony Khan started Wednesday’s Dynamite broadcast, revealing that both the World and World Trios Championships had been declared vacant, though he failed to mention the reasons why. This wasn’t his only appearance, though, as the AEW CEO also appeared in front of the live audience while the ringside crew was preparing for Rampage.
Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston, who was in attendance for one of Dynamite’s most anticipated episodes, tweeted that Khan was adamant about producing the “best 3 hours in AEW history”. A “mixed reaction” was said to have been given by the audience to Khan.
Tony Khan came out on the ramp with the mic as Rampage setup changes are happening to a mixed reaction. Says he’s trying to put on the best 3 hours in AEW history.

Tony Khan doesn’t often make in-person appearances, but he almost had no option to do so this week. AEW has been the leading topic of wrestling discourse for all the wrong reasons coming away from All Out following the aforementioned incident that has left many of his top performers suspended.
Dynamite saw Death Triangle crowned the new World Trios Champions, defeating Best Friends. The AEW World Championship, meanwhile, will be decided with a Grand Slam Tournament of Champions. Bryan Danielson has advanced to the semifinals to face Chris Jericho, while Jon Moxley will face either Sammy Guevara or Darby Allin.
