Tony Khan Sells AEW Dynamite Attack During NFL Draft
Tony Khan has committed himself to kayfabe like few others.
On the April 24th edition of AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan ended the night beaten and broken, after being attacked by The Elite.
During the show, The Young Bucks went to work as EVPs brokering a deal between Khan and Jack Perry after the star made a shock return at Dynasty. However, the meeting had to take place in the ring.
In the main event segment, Khan and Perry actually shook hands, before the latter punched his boss in the stomach with the microphone. This brought out The Bucks and Kazuchika Okada, and the new World Tag Team Champions hit Khan with the recently renamed TK-Driver.
The show went off the air with Tony’s father, Shad Khan, coming to check on his son, as referees and officials attempted to calm the situation.
Tony Khan Wears Neck Brace On Television
All day fans on social media had been calling for Khan to sell the attack during the first night of the NFL Draft, and the Jacksonville Jaguars boss duly obliged. During the TV broadcast, Khan was shown in a neck brace in the Jaguars’ war room, and the broadcast team mentioned the attack.
The Jaguars drafted LSU Wide Receiver Brian Thomas at number 23 in the first round.
On a night dominated by offensive players, USC Quarterback Caleb Williams was the overall number-one pick, and he’ll head to the Chicago Bears.
