Tommy Dreamer Comments On 33 Years In Wrestling
Tommy Dreamer is still happy and proud to be wrestling after wrestling for over three decades.
Tommy Dreamer has wrestled all over the world ever since he debuted in 1989. He’s most famous for his tenure in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) along with his WWE and TNA/Impact tenures. He has also spent a long time wrestling on the American independent scene, made a handful of appearances in AEW, and even had a rare blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance in All Japan in 1995.
And throughout it all, Tommy Dreamer has maintained a positive outlook on pro wrestling. Speaking to Lucha Libre Online, Dreamer expressed how “blessed” he feels to still be wrestling to this very day:
“My life is blessed. Actually today, when we’re filming this interview, October 28, is my thirty-third year of my first-ever match. If anybody could give words of inspiration, you’re looking at somebody, I just wanted to have one match. Then one match turned to two, and [I’ve] had a 33-year career. I’m very, very blessed to still be wrestling.”
Tommy Dreamer elaborated that he’s also happy to be working in wrestling in non-wrestling roles as well. He also wanted to celebrate this momentous occasion with an uplifting message for anyone listening/reading:
“Like I keep saying, man, this is all I’ve ever wanted to do. Life is hard, as well as if you work hard, you can succeed and follow your dreams, no matter what they are gonna be. Hopefully somebody out there listening has their dream and they’re looking at this heavyset individual and saying wow, if that guy can make it, I can make it too.
But I worked my ass off to get here, and I hope you all realize how much I love you. I really do. This has been my dream, and I freaking love the wrestling business, and I love being a part of it still.”
