TNA Management Banning Specific Actions During Matches
The management team at TNA Wrestling is giving orders to wrestlers not to do specific things during matches.
It was revealed earlier in May that TNA management informed the locker room during a talent meeting on May 2 that “excessive blood and blading” would no longer be permitted.
There are people in upper management in TNA who feel the talent went too far in terms of blood use during matches, so they are enforcing a strict policy about it. That’s similar to what WWE has done for over a decade, where they don’t have talent bleed much unless it’s part of the match story.
Fightful Select reports that TNA’s talent relations department sent out a memo stating, “Slaps will no longer be allowed unless approved by an agent.”
That’s not all because the talent was informed that throat slashing wasn’t allowed either, and if a talent did a throat slash, it would result in a $100 fine for each time it was done.
A meeting was held on Saturday with TNA personnel to discuss the moves. Meanwhile, talent relations were also unhappy about the leaked details of the previous memo.
