The Wyatt Sicks Shockingly Win Major Title On WWE SmackDown

The Wyatt Sicks win WWE Tag Team Title

The Wyatt Sicks captured their first gold as a faction last night on WWE SmackDown.

Uncle Howdy’s group has targeted the SmackDown tag team division in recent weeks. Last night on the blue brand, Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy challenged The Street Profits for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

The match went back and forth between the two tag teams. However, Erick Rowan’s interference proved a turning point as it took Angelo Dawkins out of the equation.

After Ford missed the Frog Splash due to a distraction from Gacy, the latter and his tag team partner took him out to secure the victory and title change. Uncle Howdy and the rest of The Wyatt Sicks then joined Gacy and Lumis in the ring to celebrate their first championship win.

Ex-WWE Writer Is Not A Fan Of The Wyatt Sicks’ Booking

On an episode of his Wrestling with Freddie podcast, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. discussed The Wyatt Sicks’ involvement in the SmackDown tag team division. The Hollywood star wondered if that was the best way to get the faction over.

Prinze Jr. claimed that few people care about tag team wrestling. Meanwhile, he pointed out that he believes The Wyatt Sicks should have never won titles.

I don’t know if tag teams is the way to get the Wyatt Sicks over, because I don’t know enough people to care about tag team wrestling.

So I don’t know how big the stakes are going to be, whereas I think there’s a better way to get them over on the mic and have them isolate targets. It doesn’t necessarily have to be for tag team titles. I don’t think The Wyatt Sicks should ever hold titles or belts. They should hold on to chaos. They should hold on to being different.
