The Usos have explained how vital Paul Heyman has been to The Bloodline not just on screen, but in terms of helping the talent as well.

For most of the past three years, The Usos have been allies of Paul Heyman, who is the Special Counsel and “Wise Man” associated with Roman Reigns with regard to The Bloodline.

It is not sheer luck that placed Heyman with The Bloodline. It’s well known that Heyman has a long history with the family of Roman Reigns and The Usos going back to Heyman’s start in pro wrestling. Due to that family connection, Heyman has been a natural fit as the Wise Man associated with The Bloodline.

At today’s Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) will be against Heyman’s “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns and their own brother, Solo Sikoa. It’s been a long journey to get here with The Usos showing their frustration over Reigns being mean to them even though Jimmy & Jey have been loyal to their cousin.

During an interview with Ariel Helwani for BT Sport, The Usos spoke about how they would often get advice from Heyman when it comes to promos and other things. The brothers would go on to say that The Bloodline wouldn’t work without Heyman’s involvement.

Jey: “No, every promo we’re like ‘Paul, Paul what do you think if I go [imitates promo] duh, duh, duh, duh?’ ‘Nah go like this ‘duh, duh, duh.’ Oh thanks Uce. We’re always running it past him. He is a mad scientist. He’s a cook. He cooks it all up, everybody eats.”

Jimmy: “He adds his own layer to The Bloodline. It wouldn’t be The Bloodline without Paul Heyman, especially with the history he has with our family already. Everything ties in, and everything works. He has his own style and his own way of cutting promos. To me, he’s the best promo guy in the game. To me. The best one.”

Jey: “I don’t think I’ve ever heard him rehearse a promo. We’ll dip off to the side and you’ll see everyone in their head running through it. But I’ve never seen him practice a promo, he can just go out there and hit it live.”
