The Undertaker Loses WWE Title Thanks To Shawn Michaels
The Undertaker has lost his WWE Title thanks to Shawn Michaels, despite another big win for the Deadman.
The Undertaker had his final bout in WWE at WrestleMania 36 when he defeated AJ Styles in a Boneyard Match. The cinematic bout headlined night one of that year’s showcase of the immortals, which was held in front of no fans due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite hanging up his boots, The Undertaker has continued to loom large in WWE and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2022.
The Deadman joined some fellow legends of the business as a coach on season one of WWE LFG, where the aim of the game was to unearth brand new talents that could be “future greats” in the company. The Undertaker was awarded the WWE LFG Championship as the coach with the most finalists from his team.
And now the second series of WWE LFG has finished, and The Undertaker can no longer call himself a champion, but that decision is not without controversy.
The Undertaker’s WWE Gold Given To His Wife
Dani Sekelsky and Shiloh Hill were the two winners of the show, both earning NXT contracts as a result. The reality is that they are both already contracted to WWE. Both of those winners were part of The Undertaker’s team on the series, but despite that NXT boss chose to give the WWE LFG Championship to Michelle McCool. McCool had one finalist, as did Booker T.
Michelle McCool is the wife of The Undertaker and took Mickie James’ role as a coach on the second season of the talent-finding series. McCool also replaced The Deadman’s old co-host on his podcast as he looks to firmly integrate her into all aspects of his current career.
