The Undertaker Names Current WWE Star As “My Guy”
The Undertaker is a big fan of a former WWE Intercontinental Champion that he enjoys watching in the ring.
When The Undertaker watches the WWE product in 2024, there are a lot of wrestlers that he enjoys watching, but he has specifically mentioned GUNTHER as “my guy.”
Gunther has been one of the best wrestlers in WWE during the current era led by Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. At WrestleMania 40, Gunther’s 666-day reign as the Intercontinental Champion ended at the hands of Sami Zayn. That title reign was the longest Intercontinental Title reign ever.
Despite losing the Intercontinental Title, Gunther has bounced back just fine since he won the King of the Ring tournament in June. Gunther will be awarded with a World Heavyweight Title match at SummerSlam no matter who the champion is.
While speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast about the current WWE product, The Undertaker praised Gunther heavily while also talking about how Gunther had a special connection to Taker’s son as well.
“There’s a little more storytelling going on…and GUNTHER is my guy…two years ago he had about a 10-minute conversation with my little boy. My little boy is fascinated by him. Colt is fascinated by him.”
“They had a conversation out of the clear blue and he sat there and just talked to him. That’s not why he’s my guy. He’s my guy because he knows how to work and tell a story. I’m real high on him.”
The Undertaker Reveals He Wore Pink In His Backyard Wrestling Days
On the same podcast, The Undertaker spoke about how he did some backyard wrestling in his youth before he became a professional wrestler. Taker revealed what his unique outfit looked like:
“I had a Powerhouse Gym t-shirt. I was living the gimmick…I think it was even pink too. That was before I had calmed my colors down.”
