The Scariest WWE Gimmick Of All Time Chosen

The Undertaker & JBL WWE logo blur

Over the years, WWE has coceptualized and produced many popular gimmicks.

While some of them left a lasting impression on fans, others fizzled into thin air for good. One of the wrestlers to have a memorable gimmick was Rikishi.

Rikishi was a 450-pound Samoan star who wore a thong and used a move called Stinkface, where he smeared his backside on his opponent’s face. He was also renowned for his post-match celebration, which saw him dancing with his Too Cool stablemates.

‘Big Kish’ and co-host Joey Gaytan recently discussed various WWE gimmicks on his Off The Top podcast, with the former ranking them and naming the one he found to be the scariest.

Here’s how the 60-year-old awarded the gimmicks points.

The Undertaker = 10
Kane = 9
Boogeyman = 9
Gangrel = 8
Bray Wyatt as The Fiend = 9
Doink The Clown (Matt Borne) = 1
Papa Shango = 8
Mankind = 6
Abdulla the Butcher = 8
Waylon Mercy = 7

Complimenting The Undertaker, the WWE Hall of Famer said:

That’s it. With the entrance and everything coming through, didn’t talk too much and how he just, you know, he always had people on edge. Yeah, Deadman. [32:55 onwards]

WWE Legend The Undertaker Remembers Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt often drew comparisons to WWE legend The Undertaker due to the supernatural elements involved in his gimmick.

The veteran famously “passed the torch” to Wyatt on Raw XXX in January 2023. Sadly, that same year in August, Wyatt passed away after suffering a heart attack.

During an appearance on the Nightcap podcast, The Deadman fondly remembered Wyatt, calling him the star who reminded him of himself.

I see a lot of people coming up who have the potential to be stars. Whether their characters are similar to mine or not—it’s tough to say.

I guess the closest within the past few years was obviously Bray Wyatt. Yeah, we lost him, but he was in that category of being Undertaker-esque. I don’t know that anybody else has really honed in there yet, but we have a lot of young talent coming up, and they’ll probably be debuting really soon because of the machine again.
