The cameras have caught up to The Rock in Las Vegas and he has made a bold prediction about the WrestleMania 40 press conference.

WrestleMania 40 is set to place on April 6th and April 7th, but everything really kicks off for WWE’s biggest show of the year two months earlier this Thursday, February 8th at the WrestleMania 40 Press Event, which is taking place in Las Vegas.

At the WrestleMania 40 Press Event, some huge WWE names will be there including Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Bianca Belair and of course, The Rock.

For The Rock, it will be his first time in front of a WWE crowd since Smackdown on February 2nd when he hugged Cody Rhodes in the ring and had a staredown with Roman Reigns. The suggestion was that Rock would face Reigns at WrestleMania 40, but nothing has been made official.

That was a Smackdown ending that WWE may have thought would lead to positive reactions, but that didn’t happen. Instead, WWE fans were angry as #WeWantCody trended on social number all day on Saturday and over the weekend.

This past Monday on Raw in St. Louis, fans chanted “Rocky Sucks” and chanted “We Want Cody” while Rollins asked Cody if Rhodes will face Rollins at WrestleMania. Rhodes didn’t provide an answer to that question while Drew McIntyre interrupted while pushing Cody to face Reigns so that Drew could go after Rollins. However, nothing was resolved on Raw.

On WWE’s social media accounts, they posted a video of The Rock arriving in Las Vegas for the press conference or press event as WWE calls it. While looking into a camera, The Rock had a bold prediction:

“Welcome to Vegas. I have a feeling this press conference will be talked about…forever.”

As Rock got into the waiting car, Rock said: “Signing off, your long gamer.”

The “long gamer” thing is a reference to Rock saying he is in this for the long game meaning it could be a storyline with Reigns for several years rather than just having one match.

WWE Considering “Options” For The Rock, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes And Others

Ever since The Rock’s surprising Smackdown appearance that led to The Rock getting booed and “Rocky Sucks” chants, there have been many reports about what WWE is considering.

It has been WWE has been “heavily monitoring” the reactions from fans following SmackDown, and the company is considering its “options” moving forward.

While it may appear that WWE is going with Roman Reigns vs. The Rock and Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins, nothing has been announced yet and that’s what the WrestleMania 40 press conference is for.

Tune in to the WrestleMania 40 press conference on Peacock in the US and all WWE social media channels including YouTube on Thursday, February 8th to see if The Rock’s prediction comes true.
