The Rock Thought This Ex-WWE Star Was A Make-A-Wish Kid

The Rock

The Rock’s history of granting wishes for ailing children through Make-A-Wish is well-documented.

The former WWE Champion has a strong relationship with the Foundation, marked by his numerous collaborations with them on charitable causes.

Since January 2024, he has served as a board member of the TKO Group, contributing to its strategic decisions.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson last appeared on WWE during the 2025 Elimination Chamber, which saw John Cena turn on Cody Rhodes.

While he plays a heel in WWE, his work outside with Make-A-Wish continues to inspire. Recently, Hollywood’s highest-paid actor also flew out two kids and their families to Hawaii for a special screening of his animated film, Moana 2.

The Rock Mistook Ex-WWE Star For A Make-A-Wish Kid

Hornswoggle, whose real name is Dylan Postl, was a popular star in WWE, known for his funny gimmicks. He was also involved in a kayfabe storyline being revealed as Vince McMahon’s illegitimate son.

While appearing on the Chris Van Vliet podcast, he shared an incident where he met the Rock for the first time around WrestleMania 27, only to be mistaken for a Make-A-Wish kid.

He thought I was a Make-A-Wish Kid. So I am in a suit, a legit suit, not my leprechaun outfit, with my gear bag, and I’m gonna meet him behind the curtain as he comes through. In my mind, best friends, I see my buddy Dwayne come back through, oh boy he we go! I say, ‘Hey man, thank you so much for coming back. Thanks for what you’re gonna do for WrestleMania and what you’re gonna do for the company, and just glad to have you back. Good to meet you. My name is Dylan.

He extends his arm out, goes, ‘Did you have a good time tonight buddy?’ Taps me on the shoulder, leaves. I go, Oh no, he doesn’t realize I work here.

Postl also shared how the Big Show caught wind of the incident and confronted The Rock the following week.

There is no current news about when ‘The Final Boss’ will return to WWE.
