The Rock had some kind words for Cody Rhodes when the pair met at a recent Raw taping.

On January 1st, The Rock shook up the wrestling world by appearing on WWE Raw and throwing some shade at Roman Reigns. This kickstarted speculation that the pair could meet at WrestleMania 40.

Should the match finally be made, it would likely mean Cody Rhodes stepping aside and his WWE Title dreams being put on ice… again.

While The Rock was at Raw he was snapped speaking to Rhodes, and naturally, people have been dying to hear what the pair were chatting about.

A new report from Fightful Select has revealed that the photos of the duo speaking were from before Rock headed to the ring. During the exchange, he’s said to have told Rhodes that he supports him and praised his recent work.

Those Fightful spoke to got the feeling that The Great One wasn’t there to “stand in the way of anything,” although they didn’t know he was about to drop his “Head of the Table” bombshell.

Sources close to the veteran said that he’s long been a fan of Rhodes, even while he was in AEW.
