The Rock Will Allegedly Miss WWE SummerSlam Because Of Triple H

The Rock Triple H

The Rock’s relationship with Triple H is being questioned again.

Although The Final Boss serves on TKO’s board of directors, he has not been involved in WWE programming for a significant period. His last appearance came on March 1st when he appeared at Elimination Chamber.

While he was involved in John Cena’s heel turn on Cody Rhodes, The Rock notably did not take part in their Undisputed WWE Championship match at WrestleMania.

On The Pat McAfee Show, the Hollywood megastar explained his absence from the Show of Shows following the fans’ backlash, claiming it was his call to avoid overshadowing Cena and Rhodes.

Since then, wrestling veterans Jonathan Coachman and Vince Russo have been speculating about a potential power struggle between The Rock and Triple H, pointing out that The Final Boss has not even tweeted about WWE in months.

On the latest episode of The Coach & Bro Show, Russo doubled down, claiming something is brewing behind the scenes and adding that he would be “shocked” if the TKO board member returned at SummerSlam.

I can’t believe people still argue with me that there’s not a power struggle or something going on between Triple H and The Rock because, Coach, you’re the one that always comes on this show and says, ‘Guys, there has not been a tweet in three months.’ If that doesn’t speak volumes, Coach, and people don’t want to read between the tea leaves, I just don’t know what else to say. I would be shocked, I would be shocked if Rock is at SummerSlam. [5:04 onwards]

Vince Russo Thinks Triple H Will Leave WWE

The former WWE head writer has been speculating about Triple H’s future in recent months. In a recent interview with Hannibal TV, Vince Russo gave out his predictions once again.

The wrestling veteran claimed that TKO will eventually be in no need for The Game, suggesting that the 14-time world champion would leave the Stamford-based company sooner than people expect.

With Vince McMahon, it was the wrestling business and it was the families and it was kayfabe. Its not the wrestling business to TKO, man. And that’s why you are seeing these changes.

And that’s why bro, I keep saying this over and over and over and over and over again. Eventually, they are not going to need Triple H. And, as soon as The Rock feels like he wants to take over, Rock is taking over. Rock is Hollywood. Rock is entertainment. Rock is buddies with these guys.

Rock has known Ari Emanuel for years and years and years and the more and more and more they become an entertainment conglomerate, the more and more and more the wrestling goes away. And that’s why I honestly believe, without a shadow of a doubt, Triple H’s time is sooner than many people think.
