The Rock Shares Grateful Message About His Mother Surviving Car Crash
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed that his mother got in a car accident, but he also shared the good news that she’s doing okay.
Nobody wants to get a phone call about a loved one being in a car accident. That’s what happened to The Rock, who shared a message on Instagram about his 74-year-old mother Ata Johnson getting into a car crash in Los Angeles.
The good is that she is going to be okay. In his message, The Rock thanked the Los Angeles Police Department and Fire Department for helping his beloved mother. The Rock, who is 50 years old, also wrote about how his mother was a survivor after beating lung cancer, a difficult marriage, a head on collision with a drunk driver and she attempted suicide as well.

Angels of mercy watched over my mom as she was in a car crash late last night.
She’ll survive and continue to get evaluated.
This woman has survived lung cancer, tough marriage, head on collision with a drunk driver and attempted suicide.

As mentioned above by The Rock, his father Rocky Johnson passed away in January 2020 so as The Rock noted there, he only has his mother left. The Rock is also an only child. The Rock is married with three daughters including WWE NXT star Ava Raine.
On the NBC TV show Young Rock, which is now in season three, The Rock tells the story of his life from his childhood with his parents Rocky and Ata to his teen years and then his adult years leading to his massive success in WWE as The Rock. Clearly, The Rock has always been close with his mom and dad.
Ata Johnson was also in attendance at the WWE Royal Rumble last Saturday in San Antonio, which made some people think The Rock would appear. However, he did not due to filming a movie. Ata was there since she’s close to the WWE family while also supporting extended family members like Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka, who The Rock has bought a house for in the past.
With regard to The Rock appearing in a WWE ring again, he’s probably not wrestling at WrestleMania this year although he could appear. There is always the possibility that he could be a part of WrestleMania 40 next year in Philly too.
