The Rock’s Camp Deny WrestleMania Documentary Claims

WWE WrestleMania 40 The ROck Roman Reigns

The Rock isn’t behind delays to a new WWE documentary.

In the hours after WrestleMania Saturday it was announced a new documentary looking at The Rock’s comeback and build to WrestleMania 40 was on the way. On the first night of the spectacular, The Rock teamed with Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, before Rhodes finally pinned Reigns on night two.

The documentary was originally scheduled to premiere on April 10th, but that date came and went without the film. Since then there have only been vague promises it’ll air “soon,” although no one really knows when that is.

This has sparked rumours The Rock is making changes to make sure he’s depicted in a favourable light.

However, while appearing on the Masked Man Show, Brian Gewirtz disputed these claims.

Believe it or not, there is an awesome (documentary). The Rock isn’t holding hostage until he has approval of every frame. I think there was an error in terms of promoting it so soon because it wasn’t ready to come out. That was an error that was made. This is a doc that went from 11 minutes to 45 minutes and now it’s over an hour. It’s pretty awesome. It will be coming out, in some form, pretty soon, is my understanding,”

News On The Rock Competing At WrestleMania 41

Meanwhile, it’s been reported that The Rock will be back at WrestleMania in 2025 to meet Cody Rhodes in singles action. Although many might assume the match will be for the Undisputed WWE Championship, there’s reportedly no guarantee Rhodes will still hold the gold come show time.

Following his run in early 2024, Rock is currently taking a break from WWE, returning to Hollywood to film Smashing Machine.
