The Miz’s A&E Documentary Brought WWE Hall Of Famer To Tears
A new documentary about The Miz led to a WWE Hall of Famer getting emotional while watching it.
The Miz is one of the longest-tenured superstars in all of WWE since his career started 20 years ago during the Million Dollar season of Tough Enough. The Miz didn’t win Tough Enough (Daniel Puder did), but he ended up impressing officials enough that he got signed to a deal shortly after.
It wasn’t an easy road to success for The Miz, who famously struggled to find his place in the company. He even had to dress outside of the men’s locker room for about six months at one point when he was told he didn’t belong. Eventually, he earned his way back in and went on to have
As The Miz has reminded fans many times, he is the only two-time Grand Slam Champion in WWE history meaning he’s had multiple title reigns as WWE Champion (twice), Intercontinental Champion (eight times), US Champion, and Tag Team Champion.
There was a two-hour A&E WWE Legends Biography that covered Miz’s life and career that premiered this past Sunday night. There were comments from family, friends, his wife Maryse, many WWE superstars and others. One of those talking heads was WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry, who had an emotional reaction to the biography.
Mark Henry Says The Miz Became An Expert In Pro Wrestling
On the Busted Open Radio show where he is a co-host, Mark Henry explained why he cried during The Miz’s documentary.
“I cried watching Miz’s documentary. I’ve been preaching Miz gospel for three or four years now. I’ve been on the bandwagon. I told y’all there’s not many people that can hold the microphone and do what he does. He’s at the top of the order.”
“They treated him like s**t, like they treated me like s**t when I first came into wrestling. But both of us were able to turn wrestling on its ear, become successes, and become experts. And that’s the difference — Miz is an expert, and we should hope that we can find another Miz in the next 10 years.”
While he has been a heel for most of his career, The Miz is currently a babyface on the WWE brand with R-Truth as a tag team champion. They recently lost the World Tag Team Titles to The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor & JD McDonagh.
