WWE Hall Of Famer Compares The Bloodline To Popular Soap Opera
The Bloodline storyline has an afternoon soap opera feel according to a Hall of Famer who thinks new characters could soon be introduced.
With The Usos wanting out of The Bloodline, a huge tag team match will take place at next weekend’s Money In The Bank event, which will see the former Undisputed Tag Team Champions face off against their brother Solo Sikoa, and The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.
Following on from the success of their Sami Zayn storyline, WWE has built up a civil war between the family members, which has led to The Usos teaming up to superkick their younger brother on last week’s SmackDown.
One WWE Hall of Famer, who has plenty of Tag Team experience, has shared his praise of WWE and The Bloodline build.
Bully Ray gained huge success in WWE as part of the Dudley Boyz, before going on to have a singles career in Impact Wrestling.
Ray was discussing The Bloodline on Busted Open and sees comparisons between the long-term storyline and those used in a successful afternoon soap.
The Eight-Time WWE Hardcore Champion praised the way WWE has continued to introduce new parts to The Bloodline story, including Solo Sikoa helping Reigns retain against Drew McIntyre at last September’s Clash at the Castle event.
“Well, let’s take a look at afternoon soap operas … Aren’t they constantly introducing new characters?”
“You always have the core, like I remember ‘The Young and the Restless.'”
Bully Ray feels there are others who could yet play a part in the story, referencing Rikishi, the father of The Usos and Sikoa, and how he expects more to come for The Bloodline.
“They always had the core, and then they always introduced new characters,”
“It could be time for some new characters within The Bloodline. This family is very large.”
“There are many, many members of this Bloodline that we might not have been exposed to yet,”
“Who is Jimmy’s, Jey’s, and Solo’s father? Rikishi.”
Bully Ray and his long term tag partner D-Von secured Tag Team Championships on Ten occasions during their time in WWE.
With brother versus brother taking place in London next Saturday, the possibility of Rikishi or other members of their family turning up is likely.
Roman Reigns is set to return to SmackDown this Friday as WWE take over The O2 for two consecutive sell out’s.
With Reigns in action on Saturday, it opens up the possibility of the winner from this years Men’s Ladder Match trying to cash in on him.
LA Knight, Logan Paul, and Damien Priest will all be keeping an eye on The Bloodline Tag Team battle and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor in case an opportunity to cash in arises.
