Ted DiBiase Says Ultimate Warrior Wouldn’t Have Succeeded In WWE Without This Key Factor
WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase shared candid thoughts on fellow Hall of Famer The Ultimate Warrior, asserting that Warrior’s success in professional wrestling was largely due to the efforts of others.
Speaking on his podcast, Everybody’s Got a Pod, Ted DiBiase didn’t shy away from critiquing Warrior’s in-ring abilities and the factors behind his rise to stardom.
“Warrior had size, he had a look and everything, but he had nothing else.”
DiBiase said, acknowledging Warrior’s imposing presence and physical charisma. However, he argued that these attributes alone were insufficient to make him a well-rounded performer.
“The only reason that he was a success is because guys like Bret Hart, me, and many others took that idiot in the ring and told him what to do. Had he not had that, he would have never been s**t.”
The Ultimate Warrior remains one of WWE’s most polarising figures, celebrated for his energetic entrances, larger-than-life persona, and iconic feuds. Despite his ability to captivate fans, Warrior often faced criticism for his limited technical wrestling skills and reliance on his commanding charisma to connect with audiences.
