Sycho Sid Shares His Biggest Wrestling Blunder: “It Was A Big Mistake”

Sycho Sid Shares His Biggest Wrestling Blunder:

Former WWE Champion Sycho Sid revealed the biggest blunder of his wrestling career.

During an appearance on Prime Time with Sean Mooney. Sycho Sid found himself at a critical crossroads where he had to choose between signing with WCW or WWE. At the time, Dusty Rhodes, set to become the booker for WCW, wanted Sid to sign a new deal with WCW before receiving a main event push. WCW had offered Sid the option to call Vince McMahon to discuss an alternative offer, potentially taking Hulk Hogan’s spot in WWE.

Sid wasted no time and promptly went to meet with McMahon. Initially, he was leaning towards the guaranteed money from WCW. However, McMahon’s final pitch convinced him otherwise, leading to his regrettable decision. Upon returning home, Sid received news that WCW had raised their offer to $750,000, with a guaranteed salary. Sid was set to sign with WCW when McMahon called him and convinced him to instead sign with the WWE.

Little did he know that this decision would turn out to be the biggest mistake of his life. Reflecting on the situation, Sid admitted that he never made the kind of money he had anticipated in WWE. While he made good money, it was nowhere near the $750,000 he could have earned with WCW.

So, I made my mind up to fucking take that chance. And it was a big mistake, I never made that kind of money [in WWE]. I made $150,000 for WrestleMania. I made good money, I don’t think I made $750,000. Still, it was a big mistake, when I look back on it, it was the only real mistake I made in the business.

Is Sycho Sid In The WWE Hall Of Fame?

Sycho Sid is not in the WWE Hall of Famer. However, it was reported in 2022 that he was expected to be inducted. Unfortunately, this did not happen and Sid currently is not in the Hall of Fame.
