Surprising WWE Name Was Dusty Rhodes’ #1 NXT Kid, Reveals Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes recently revealed who his father, Dusty Rhodes’, #1 NXT kid was.
The American Nightmare discussed a few stories from his personal life while hosting Nikki Bella on his podcast, What Do You Wanna Talk About?
During his wrestling days, Dusty Rhodes was known for his larger-than-life persona, before becoming a booker in the latter stages of his life.
Nevertheless, he played a significant part in the lives of many budding wrestlers, shaping their personalities like no other while serving as a producer in NXT.
In the episode, Cody shared how his nephews were training to be wrestlers under his step-brother Dustin Rhodes.
While he was happy that Dustin was training them, he recommended the boys to approach someone outside the family as a way to expand their knowledge and repertoire.
This is when he revealed TJ or TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd) to be Dusty Rhodes’ #1 NXT kid.
And I think a thing people don’t realize is in the Dusty’s kids conversation of all his NXT kids, no one has ever figured out his number one was TJ. He loved TJ…he thought TJ had everything. [1:02:17 onwards]
