Surprising Detail About Joe Hendry’s TNA Contract

Joe Hendry TNA

Joe Hendry has had a breakout year in 2024, which has led to many questions about where he might be spending his time in the future.

It has been an incredible 2024 for Joe Hendry, who has become a big name to wrestling fans who follow TNA, but also the WWE NXT brand. Clearly, pro wrestling fans believe in the talented Scotsman.

While Hendry spent the past decade in pro wrestling in places like Ring of Honor and a lot of independent promotions, especially in Europe, this has been a breakout year for him.

Over the past few months, Hendry has repeatedly been on WWE NXT television after WWE NXT’s brand and TNA started a working relationship to feature some talents on their shows. Hendry quickly gained popularity with WWE fans due to his popular theme song along with his mannerisms and in-ring performances.

At NXT No Mercy, Joe Hendry made history as the first contracted TNA talent to headline a WWE PLE when he challenged Ethan Page for the NXT Title. Hendry didn’t leave with the NXT Title that night, but he’ll always be a part of history.

For fans wondering about Hendry’s wrestling future, Fightful Select reports that Hendry has “a substantial amount of time remaining on his TNA contract.” It was added that it’s nowhere near up at the moment.

What that means is that if fans want to see Hendry in WWE full-time, it doesn’t seem like it will be any time soon. However, the working relationship with WWE and TNA appears to be continuing, so Hendry certainly could appear on WWE TV again soon.
