Steve Austin To Appear At WWE WrestleMania 40
Steve Austin will be involved at WrestleMania.
With WrestleMania just around the corner, excitement for the event is hitting an all-time high.
The Rock is due to return to the ring for the first time in over a decade, and Cody Rhodes is expected to defeat Roman Roman Reigns to become World Champion. Meanwhile, Becky Lynch will meet Rhea Ripley and Seth Rollins will defend the World Heavyweight Title against Drew McIntyre.
Naturally, there’s also been a huge amount of speculation around a whole host of WWE legends. The Undertaker will be bringing his one-man show to Philadelphia, while John Cena has repeatedly teased an appearance at the spectacular. There have also been rumours that Steve Austin will be on the show in some form.
Writing the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that Steve Austin, The Undertaker, and John Cena will all be involved at the event.
Nothing is official but the belief right now is that Steve Austin, Undertaker and John Cena will have something at WrestleMania in some form. At press time, there is no creative locked in for Cena and Austin at this moment, or if there is it’s a well-guarded secret. A lot depends on how much they are willing to do and money.
Cena is free but depending on what acting stuff he has and how quick after he’s filming would determine how much he can or can’t do for insurance reasons. Austin and Undertaker would be based on willingness that they have.
Steve Austin Open To One More Match
Speaking back in February, Steve Austin refused to rule out getting back in the ring for one more match. The WWE legend came out of retirement to face Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38 and later revealed he turned down pitches to wrestle again the following year.
Furthermore, Austin said if he was to wrestle again he’d like a match with CM Punk.
