Stephanie McMahon Reveals Almost Unknown Personal Detail About Triple H
Triple H and graphic design are not usually spoken in the same sentence.
The 14-time WWE Champion has donned several hats in his illustrious in-ring career, some of which include Terra Ryzing, Jean-Paul Levesque, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and the King of Kings.
In a recent episode of Stephanie’s Places, which featured Triple H and focused on his branding and marketing genius, Stephanie McMahon let out an almost unknown secret about her husband.
Debuting on WWE (then WWF) in 1995, he was introduced as a “Connecticut Blueblood” Hunter Hearst Helmsley. The WWE Hall of Famer shared how he liked the three Hs and how easy it was to create a logo out of them.
He then admitted to being ‘fairly’ creative and could draw, which led to Stephanie interrupting him and saying:
Very few people know you went to college for graphic design.
To this, Triphe H confirmed, “…for, like, a moment,” leading to assumptions that he may have dropped out. He cited the example of the American rock band Kiss and how their branding set them apart from the others.
Over time, his hunger to grow within the company also led to the creation of factions like the D-Generation X, Evolution, and The Authority.
Stephanie McMahon Shares How ‘The Game’ Was Born
Arguably, the greatest moniker that Triple H has held is that of “The Game“.
In a video voiced over by Stephanie, Triple H is seen in a sit-down interview with Jim Ross on a 1999 WWE Raw episode. He tears into Ross, accusing the WWE commentator of holding him back, and uttering the famous quote, “You guys talk about being students of the game. I am the f***ing game, JR.”
And that is how ‘The Game’ was born, one of the most ruthless antagonists of the Attitude Era.
