Stephanie McMahon Belongs In WWE Says Triple H

Paul “Triple H” Levesque was on hand to welcome everyone to WrestleMania Saturday but on Sunday, that job was left to Stephanie McMahon.

Stephanie McMahon resigned from WWE early in 2023 after her father Vince McMahon forced his way back onto the company’s board of directors. Since then, she had little to do with WWE, at least publicly, but Stephanie McMahon did appear at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.

WrestleMania 40 opened with Paul “Triple H” Levesque welcoming everyone to the show on Saturday but on Sunday that job was left to Stephanie McMahon. McMahon noted that the show was the first WrestleMania of the “Paul Levesque Era” as even she looked to lay the ghost of her father’s influence to rest in the company.

Speaking at the post-WrestleMania 40 press conference, Paul Levesque discussed his wife’s appearance and said he’s seen the confidence return while she’s been spending time around the company:

God damn, my wife looked good, right? She hadn’t lost a step. So great to have her back home. I get her home all the time, but to have her back here, to see the doubt leave her by being here for the last few days, to see her confidence come back, and to know that this is her home.

All of you, all of us, all this business – it’s her home. And as much as anybody on the planet, she belongs here. And hopefully she knows that now. So, happy to have her back.

Whether or not this leads to a more permanent return to the company for Stephanie McMahon remains to be seen. Vince McMahon’s influence has been further eradicated after yet another stock sale that now sees the former chairman own less than 5% of TKO.
