Former Star Says Speaking Up About WWE Creative Issues Was Useless

Getting any kind of creative control in WWE could be frustrating.

Back in June, Mercedes Mone revealed that she has creative control in AEW while discussing her close working relationship with Tony Khan.

This is a stark contrast to her time in WWE as Sasha Banks, where it’s been hinted she clashed with bosses over creative. One of these disagreements reportedly led her to walk out of the company in May 2022.

Speaking on her Power Alphas podcast, former WWE Superstar Mandy Rose recalled Mone struggling to get her ideas across while with the company. Rose described trying to speak up about creative as “just wasting your breath.”

Good for her for doing what she did and now she’s able to have complete creative control which she was always big with. I remember in WWE, like, if she wasn’t happy with something, it was hard for her to be able to speak out about it because certain circumstances and people really weren’t going to change it.

Then it was useless to even speak out cause you’re just wasting your breath. So I think that’s cool that she does have all of that creative control.”

Mandy Rose Could Return To WWE

Despite her previous frustrations, Mandy Rose has previously hinted she’d be open to returning to WWE, commenting she could yet wrestle for “any federation.”

Despite the star not wrestling since late 2022, Rose has repeatedly stated that she’s not retired. Back in March 2024, Rose said that while she was enjoying her freedom outside of the ring, she would love to wrestle again if the right opportunity came up.

Mandy Rose was released by WWE in December 2022.
