Star Of Netflix Series “Wrestlers” Comments On WWE Try-Out
HollyHood Haley J is still looking to get signed by WWE.
One of the standout stars of the Netflix series “Wrestlers” was scheduled to have a try-out but was pulled. As reported by Fightful Select, Haley J’s try-out was cancelled due to issues with her “medical paperwork.”
Speaking to The Ringside podcast, Haley J discussed how her life has changed since becoming more well-known as a result of the documentary series:
“Well, if you haven’t seen my social media, it’s been up there. I’m getting a bunch of followers. Getting a bunch of bookings. Some out of the country bookings, that’s cool. A lot of people ordering merch. Almost sold out of all of my merch. Got me a little try out, it didn’t fall through, that will come back around. It got me new friends,”
Continuing the interview, the star of “Wrestlers” revealed that she still intends to get to WWE in the future and will call time on her career after a WrestleMania appearance:
“The ultimate goal is obviously WWE. I’m trying to wrestle at WrestleMania, become champ, top dog. Anywhere I go, I make my way to the top. I just have to get there. That’s the goal. Be champ, wrestle at WrestleMania, then I can retire,”
Netflix “Wrestlers” Series Goes Behind The Scenes In Well-Known Promotion
The Netflix documentary focuses on the Ohio Valley Wrestling territory in Louisville, Kentucky. Once the promotion to discover the biggest stars of the future such as John Cena and Brock Lesnar, the 7 episode series gives an access all areas look at the state of the promotion in the modern day, including the financial struggles OVW is facing and the personal struggles some of the performers are going through. The head booker of the promotion is wrestling legend Al Snow.
Along with Hollyhood Hailey J, other notable performers in the series include a guest appearance from James Storm and AEW star Leila Gray.
