SmackDown Sees Major Heel Turn

Bianca Belair is counting the cost of her friendship once again after she was attacked by Asuka on Friday Night SmackDown.

Belair, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss were united in the latter half of 2022 as they fought off the combined forces of Damage CTRL but eventually, the lure of Belair’s Raw Women’s Title proved too much for Bliss and she turned her back The EST of WWE before challenging her for the gold at the 2023 Royal Rumble.

Now on SmackDown, Bianca Belair has been stabbed in the back again – or rather green misted in the face – as Asuka turned heel on the show. Belair’s entire upper body was left covered in the mist as officials tried to clean her up.

It had been rumored by PWInsider before SmackDown that a heel turn was being discussed for Asuka who may well be Belair’s next challenger at Night Of Champions on May 27th in Saudi Arabia.

Bianca Belair has been Raw Women’s Champion for over 400 days in a reign that stretches back to WrestleMania 38 where she defeated Becky Lynch for the title.

Also on SmackDown, the tournament to crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion continued with Seth Rollins now knowing who he will face for the gold in Saudi Arabia.
