Shocking Truth Behind WWE Backstage Attack
The mystery of one backstage attack in WWE has now been solved, leaving NXT General Manager Ava absolutely furious.
For weeks Ava has had issues with NXT star Eddy Thorpe. Thorpe has made demands for opportunity and he inadvertently caused Ava to get smacked with a door during a backstage brawl between NXT’s tag teams. Shawn Micheals got physical with Eddy Thorpe as a result as the boss took exception to him putting his hands on Ava.
Eddy Thorpe booked his place in the Iron Survivor Challenge at Deadline through the last-chance fatal four way but didn’t end up taking part in the match. Thorpe was found laid out backstage forcing Ava to name a replacement for the match with Oba Femi taking that role and winning the entire match earning him a shot at the NXT Championship.
Eddy Thorpe Shocks WWE Universe
On the 10th of December edition of NXT, Eddy Thorpe interrupted a face-to-face between Oba Femi and NXT Champion Trick Williams where Thorpe accused Femi of being the one to attack him. Femi denied that but Thorpe then turned his attention to Williams, pushing for a title match due to being taken out of the Iron Survivor match.
Williams agreed and backstage Thorpe would sign the contract to make the match official with Ava before making a stunning confession. Ava noted they were still looking into the attack when Thorpe admitted he made the whole thing up and managed to get his title shot without having to compete in the Iron Survivor Challenge.
