Shocking Star Emerges As Women’s Iron Survivor At NXT Deadline
This year’s edition of NXT Deadline had John Cena’s fingerprints all over it. The event kicked off with the NXT Championship match between Ricky Saints and Oba Femi, the winner of which will compete at Cena’s final WWE show.
Next up was the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge, where five competitors, who were hand-picked by Cena himself, would compete in a 25-minute match. The wrestler with the most falls within that time limit emerges as the winner.
Cena selected Sol Ruca, Kelani Jordan, Jordynn Grace, Lola Vice, and Kendal Grey for the match, and the winner would receive a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship at New Year’s Evil.
Kelani Jordan and WWE Evolve Women’s Champion, Kenday Grey, started the match tonight, and both of them looked to go for a pin at every chance they got in the early stages of the match. It was Grey who got the first points of the match as she hit a powerslam on Jordan for a pin, just when Jordynn Grace entered the match.
As a result of being pinned, Jordan spent the next 90 seconds inside the penalty cage, and Grace took full advantage of it as she weakened Grey in the time. Just after coming back into the match, it was Jordan’s turn to pick up the point as she pinned Grey to get level with her.
Kendal Grey becomes the Iron Survivor on NXT Deadline
Next up to enter the match was Lola Vice, and she went right after all the competitors present in the ring. She immediately pinned Kendal Grey to pick up a point, less than 30 seconds after coming into the match. While she had already been pinned twice, Kendal Grey became the first wrestler to earn two points as she managed to pin Jordynn Grace as well.
Grace pinned Jordan just when Sol Ruca was making her way down the ring, but before she even entered the match, Jordan attacked Ruca’s already injured knee as she sent her into the steel steps. Sol was then escorted backstage, but came back moments later and immediately scored two points.

She hit a double Sol Snatcher on Lola Vince and Kelani Jordan to pick up the points and move level with Grey. Kelani Jordan would then move on to two points after pinning Jordynn Grace with less than five minutes remaining in the match. As only two minutes remained in the match, all five women were tied at two points.
The end was extermely chaotic and fast paced as Sol Ruca hit Lola Vice with a Sol Snatcher on the outside. Kelani Jordan tried to take advantage of it but the pin was broken up by Grace. With seconds remaining on the clock, Kendal Grey jumped from the top rope and hit the Shades of Grey on Vice to become NXT’s Iron Survivor.
