Shawn Michaels Addresses WWE’s Newest Show
Shawn Michaels is the man running the WWE NXT brand and he’ll also be involved in another show.
As a two-time WWE Hall of Famer who is considered by many people to be one of the greatest pro wrestlers ever, Shawn Michaels could be sitting back and enjoying his retirement as a wrestler. Instead, he’s heavily involved in the current WWE product and the development of young talent in the company.
Michaels is the WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative who oversees the NXT brand and is ultimately the booker on that show. Michaels is also heavily involved in hiring talent and talent development.
A new WWE show called Evolve will be debuting in March with former ROH booker and EVOLVE founder Gabe Sapolsky running the brand closely with WWE executives. Sapolsky has worked for WWE since 2018.
WWE Evolve To Air On Tubi Streaming Service
In a press release featuring comments from Shawn Michaels, WWE and the streaming service Tubi announced that WWE EVOLVE will air on Wednesdays starting on March 5th.
WWE and Tubi, Fox Corporation’s ad-supported streaming service, today announced the launch of WWE EVOLVE which will showcase in-ring action featuring rising WWE prospects as they wrestle with the dream of making it to NXT and, perhaps, one day to SmackDown and Raw.
WWE EVOLVE is slated to premiere March 5, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET / 5p.m. PT, exclusively on Tubi, with a new episode dropping each week on Wednesdays.
“We are excited to work with our incredible partners at Tubi to showcase our young, rising talent to the WWE Universe, as they start their in-ring journey competing each week to fulfill their lifelong dream of becoming a WWE Superstar,” said WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels.
“The next generation of professional wrestling will unfold through the brand new series WWE EVOLVE on Tubi,” said Adam Lewinson, Chief Content Officer, Tubi. “Tubi offers WWE access to a broad base of young, multicultural audiences who represent a wide array of fandoms and we’re proud to partner as WWE develops the superstars of the future. To quote CCO Paul Levesque, ‘Are You Ready?’”
WWE EVOLVE will introduce viewers to the most intense and charismatic prospects recruited from college athletics and independent wrestling as they strive to build their in-ring careers and elevate their personas. WWE EVOLVE will prominently feature talent from WWE’s world-class Performance Center in Orlando, Fla., and WWE ID, a first-of-its-kind developmental program.
Shawn Michaels also made an executive decision last week along with The Undertaker when they let their friend Triple H know that he was going to be the headliner for the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. It was an announcement that caught Triple H by surprise.
