Reason Shane McMahon Wasn’t Shown On WWE RAW Revealed
Shane McMahon was at John Cena’s final episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, but he wasn’t shown on camera.
The last time Shane McMahon competed in a WWE match was in the Men’s Royal Rumble match in 2022.
Following that year’s Rumble, there were numerous reports that Shane tried to suggest ideas to other wrestlers in the match, but those ideas were shut down, such as Brock Lesnar making it clear to Shane that he wasn’t going to body slam him.
There was so much heat on Shane that his father, former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, essentially told his son to go home after that and never brought him back.
Now that WWE is being run creatively by Shane’s brother-in-law, the WWE Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Shane has no role in the company, nor is he mentioned. Meanwhile, Triple H’s wife and Shane’s sister, Stephanie McMahon, has her own WWE podcast, is shown ringside at many WWE shows, and will also be inducted into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame.
Despite not being a part of the current WWE, Shane McMahon was there this past Monday, November 17th, for John Cena’s final episode of Raw as an active WWE superstar. Shane was there with one of his three sons, Rogan.
Shane McMahon Was Not Shown At WWE Raw
Many WWE fans were likely wondering why Shane McMahon wasn’t shown on camera at Raw, instead of sitting in the crowd with his son. After all, Stephanie McMahon was shown at ringside during Raw, yet Shane was never mentioned.
According to Fightful Select, WWE sources said the people shown in the crowd on Raw were promoting projects. Meanwhile, Shane was there visiting WWE as a guest. Fightful was told that Shane-O-Mac was welcome to the show.
Shane McMahon has previously met with AEW’s Tony Khan in person, but Shane made it clear he didn’t want to work there because it’s not the company he helped build, which is WWE.
