“Several Companies” Interested In Goldberg

Goldberg

Goldberg last wrestled for WWE back in February 2022 at Elimination Chamber against Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship but his wrestling future remains uncertain.

In October, Goldberg revealed that his contract with WWE would be up at the end of 2022 and it has now been confirmed that he did not sign an extension. The former WCW World Champion became a free agent on the 1st of January 2023 and he is now free to wrestle wherever he likes should he want to.

Fightful Select has offered a small update on his status as a free agent and noted that “several companies” are interested in booking the star, including one in Israel. That could tie into previous comments made by the star where he noted that he believes WWE “owes” him a retirement match but that he could have one without the company and mentioned Israel as a possible destination.

AEW boss Tony Khan also commented on Goldberg’s status in an interview with The Bet Las Vegas and said the situation is interesting:

“I have a lot of respect for Bill. I think Bill Goldberg is a great professional athlete and has had a great career in pro wrestling and is a very nice person. He’s a household name in pro wrestling, so it’s interesting to hear that he is a free agent so that’s something to follow. He’s one of the biggest names in wrestling and certainly will be something else to keep an eye on for us.”

“Bill is an exceptionally exciting name and one of the biggest names in the sport. It’s certainly a big thing for us to pay attention to. I would take notice of that. It’s interesting.”
