Seth Rollins has given his thoughts about his mindset before facing Logan Paul at WrestleMania and what he thought about the match.

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins (with a “Freakin” middle name) wasn’t holding that yet-to-be-created title at WrestleMania 39 back in April, but he did have an entertaining match with Logan Paul.

Going into the match, Seth Rollins was selling the idea that he didn’t like Logan Paul and didn’t think a sideshow like Logan deserved to be in WWE as a part-timer while Rollins was a full-timer working all the time.

They had a very competitive match with Rollins picking up the win with The Stomp. While there were other WrestleMania 39 matches that were rated higher by some people (including yours truly), the Rollins-Paul match was still outstanding and certainly added to this year’s spectacular WrestleMania event.

During an interview on Out of Character, Seth Rollins spoke about how the match with Paul was a great opportunity for himself.

“I knew wrestling against Logan Paul was gonna be huge in its own way, because there are so many people that know who Logan Paul is that have no idea what WWE is. We’re still in the … ongoing stages of melding those two fanbases.”

“And so I knew that it was gonna be a great opportunity for me to have a spotlight with a guy who has a megaphone on him no matter what he does. And so to be a part of that, and to try to really take my act to the next level and to get it in front of people that may have never seen it before, I was really looking forward to that.”

Seth Rollins continued by talking about the actual match while admitting he didn’t know much about Logan or his friend KSI before they were in WWE.

“Obviously, [with] Logan, I didn’t know what to expect entirely. I had not really worked with him at all prior to [the] Royal Rumble. But [he is] super athletic, so I knew going in we were gonna be able to kind of work with that. And it turned out to be one of my favorite WrestleMania matches I’ve ever had, actually.”

“So Logan Paul and Bad Bunny are two total reasons that I know I’m not hip — I ain’t with it no more. I had no idea who these people were before they came to WWE. And KSI — same thing. I’m too old, man. Too old. I’m not cool anymore.”

As for what’s next, Seth Rollins is still feuding with Finn Balor and will likely face the talented Irishman yet again at SummerSlam on August 5th in Detroit, but that’s not official yet.
