How Has Seth Rollins’ Injury Changed WWE’s Plans For Survivor Series?

Seth Rollins

The impact of Seth Rollins’ injury is still being felt.

On the October 20 episode of Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins was forced to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship. The blow came after Rollins underwent surgery on a shoulder injury suffered at Crown Jewel.

With Rollins injured, WWE was forced to fast-track his removal from The Vision, and he’s also set to miss Survivor Series, the 2026 Royal Rumble, and he may even have to sit out WrestleMania 42.

Rollins had been due to play a key role at Survivor Series in particular, with storylines for the show well underway.

It had originally been reported that Rollins would team with Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, Brock Lesnar and Austin Theory to face Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso, and a mystery fifth member.

WWE Sticking To The Plan Without Seth Rollins

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that the plans for WarGames remain largely the same. Although he didn’t confirm the identity of the combatants, Punk and Reigns are still scheduled to lead a team against The Vision.

“Since many have asked, as of press time, the men’s WarGames match was still a Punk & Reigns team against The Vision-led team.”

Although plans for WarGames appear to remain largely intact, Rollins’ replacement remains a mystery; his injury has had a huge knock-on effect elsewhere.

With Rollins out, Jey Uso and CM Punk will now battle for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1. However, the winner of that match might not be the champion for long, as WWE already has plans to make another star the World Champion.

A different report has also revealed that a different match has been moved from Survivor Series to Saturday Night’s Main Event.
