Seth Rollins has discussed the emotional toll Bray Wyatt’s untimely death is still having on him.

On August 24th, 2023, the wrestling world was shaken by the death of Windham Rotunda — better known to fans as Bray Wyatt. The star was just 36 years old and one of the most popular figures in the industry.

Monday Night Raw star Seth Rollins was close to Wyatt, having risen through the WWE ranks alongside him. Speaking during an appearance on Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals, Rollins said Wyatt’s passing still doesn’t feel real.

“Our little world that we live in is so small in a lot of regards, it really does feel like a family often.

And Windham [Rotunda, Wyatt’s real name] was someone that I loved and worked with very closely for many years. We came up in the business together and I was very close with him and it was a huge shock that he had passed and left, it still doesn’t feel real sometimes.”

Seth Rollins went on to recall his in-ring tribute to the star at a live event just three days after his death. The World Champion described the night as “cathartic,” as the event ended with fans singing “He’s got the world in his hands” in tribute to Wyatt while Rollins was in the ring.

“I did way more than I expected to,” he says. “I popped up in his spider thing, I end up in the corner upside down, I even did his mandible claw that he shoved down my throat all the time.

It was a very cathartic experience for me, the beginning of the grieving process to let all of that out. I had that talk with the crowd afterwards and then cried a lot as you would, and it was crazy. It still doesn’t entirely feel real to me.”

Seth Rollins To Defend World Heavyweight Title At Crown Jewel

It’s been announced that Seth Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship at Crown Jewel against Drew McIntyre. The star has held the gold since defeating AJ Styles at Night of Champions back in May.

Meanwhile, McIntyre hasn’t been a World Champion since early 2021 and hasn’t wrestled for the World Title since being defeated by Roman Reigns at Clash At The Castle.
