Seth Rollins Recalls The Bump That Made Him Think “I’m Never Getting Up”

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins has discussed the nasty bump he took that had him questioning if he’d wrestle or even move his legs ever again.

At Hell In A Cell in 2018, Roman Reigns put his Universal Championship on the line against Braun Strowman inside the demonic structure. Both men had allies at this time and while Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler tried to assist Strowman, they were thwarted by The Shield’s Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.

During the melee that saw Rollins and Ziggler on top of the Cell, the two men ended up falling from the side of the structure and crashing through the announce table.

Speaking on The Dan LeBatard Show Seth Rollins reflected on that very bump and said it had him questioning his professional future and his personal health:

“I’ve taken a couple of falls off the side of Hell in a Cell structure… and I’ve fallen off the side of that a couple of times through our announce desk and the most recent which was five or six years ago at this point I thought ‘That was it, I’m never getting up. That’s the end of it. I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to move my legs after this,’ it was so painful I thought, ‘I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to wrestle again.’

“… Taking a huge bump off the side of the cage that I didn’t need to take or want to take and it wasn’t even my match. So no, it was not worth it. At all. It was a terrible decision, I wish I hadn’t done it. But here we are, still doing it…”

Seth Rollins also recently discussed the beef being squashed between him and his wife Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.
