Seth Rollins has every reason to be on top of the world in WWE but his mood has been dampened following the return of CM Punk.
Rollins has been the World Heavyweight Champion in WWE for seven months and overcame his latest challenger on Raw in Albany, NY when he defeated Jey Uso. However, it seems Rollins has someone else on his mind.
CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series to almost universal acclaim. Punk noted in his promo on the following Raw that he had been received with almost complete love and adoration but there are those less than thrilled by his comeback.
Seth Rollins had a furious reaction to Punk’s return and was seen being held back at ringside from confronting the former AEW World Champion. This, however, was believed to be a storyline reaction given with WWE looking to capitalise on the bad blood between the pair. Seth Rollins has described CM Punk as “a cancer” in the past.
Seth Rollins Issues CM Punk Warning On WWE Raw
Raw General Manager Adam Pearce missed out on signing Randy Orton on SmackDown and he clearly doesn’t want to lose out on another big name. Pearce told Rollins to his face that he was chasing CM Punk to sign exclusively with Raw and it’s safe to say, Rollins wasn’t impressed.
Seth Rollins told Pearce that he expected the Raw GM to stay out of his way he does what he has to when Punk’s involvement on Raw “blows up in his face” when Punk “shows his true colours.”
Should CM Punk sign with Raw, it seems that his first feud will be with Seth Rollins and that might give WWE a chance to give CM Punk an attitude check.
