‘Touch Grass’: Saraya Blasts Fans After Being Accused Of Attacking WWE

Saraya

On Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, Saraya came to the ring to give her first official promo for the company, however, things didn’t go the way she wanted for multiple reasons. Saraya flubbed her lines, helped to provide a clunky segment, and even admitted on social media after the show that she was “rusty.”

That wasn’t all though. Formerly known as Paige in WWE, she took a shot at her former boss Vince McMahon, and fans online didn’t take well to the comment. As a result, Saraya shifted her attention from McMahon to the Internet Wrestling Community, known as IWC for short.

It’s been quite the entrance into AEW for Saraya, beginning with her massive debut at a huge event like Grand Slam Dynamite in New York City, leading to the promo this past Wednesday that created headline after headline. From the audience in Arthur Ashe Stadium to the fans on social media, there’s been a thunderous reaction towards “The Anti-Diva,” both positive and negative.

A favorite when she entered AEW, a lot of fans have already flipped on the babyface after her latest promo. Her shots fired at Vince McMahon weren’t received well, with many opinions changing in the aftereffects about the former WWE Superstar. Not only were a lot of fans left angry either, a lot were also left confused by her statement of “it’s so good to have a boss to actually finally listen to me.”

Despite the backlash against Saraya, she wouldn’t back down from her comments. Instead, the former two-time WWE Divas Champion called out fans on Twitter for their “bizarre” behavior.

“I say how my current boss listens to me and all of sudden it’s ‘So hAtE yOu WwE.’ No I don’t. I loved my time there. I appreciate the time and the opportunities I was given. Especially in my NXT days with Triple H. I’m happy now in AEW though. Tribalism in IWC is so bizarre to me.”

Saraya would go on to later delete the tweet, but she wouldn’t be done with her attacks on fans, accusing the online wrestling community of “stalking” and being “miserable.”

“Touch grass and get off the internet. Then you won’t have to stalk my account for whenever I post so you can further be miserable.”

Saraya’s flubbed promo on Dynamite led to the AEW Interim Women’s World Championship match between champion Toni Storm and challenger Serena Deeb being turned into a Lumberjack match. Storm would retain the title after getting the victory over Deeb.

Though there’s still some confusion, Saraya’s AEW contract is believed to see her wrestling again one day, however, she is currently not cleared by the company to compete. Dr. Michael Sampson is the final authority to give Saraya the green light for in-ring competition.
