Samoa Joe AEW World Title Match Confirmed For Revolution
The rankings are back in AEW and they had two stars vying for the number one shot to claim a title shot against Samoa Joe.
Samoa Joe captured the AEW World Championship from MJF at Worlds End. The former champion has not been seen since that night as Adam Cole betrayed his friend to reveal himself as The Devil all along.
Joe soon found out that he now had a target on his back in the company with Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland both making it very clear they wanted the AEW World Title.
After going undefeated in 2024, Page and Strickland squared off on Dynamite in Phoenix to find Joe’s challenger for Revolution. However, things did not go to plan for either man as their match went to a 30-minute time-limit draw. Swerve Strickland asked Page for five more minutes to find a winner but Page refused saying that Strickland had to beat him to become the number one contender and now he hadn’t he wouldn’t be AEW World Champion.
Samoa Joe Faces Two Huge Contenders
However, Tony Schiavone rose from the announce desk to reveal that the decision had been made that there were now two number one contenders, and both Page and Strickland will face Samoa Joe in a three way match for the AEW World Championship at Revolution.
Revolution will also see the final match in the legendary career of Sting. Sting will go into Revolution as a champion after a huge win on Dynamite.
