Sammy Guevara & Tay Melo Announce Pregnancy

Sammy Guevara may not be AEW World Champion following Double Or Nothing, but he looks set to be something even greater in the not-too-distant future as he and Tay Melo announced they’re expecting a baby.

Guevara was part of the pillars four-way match at Double Or Nothing as he joined Jack Perry, Darby Allin, and MJF in the bout for the AEW World Championship. But before the match got underway, Guevara and Tay Melo had something to say and in a throwback of sorts, they did it with cue cards.

During Guevara’s entrance he was joined by Melo and both decked out in white they revealed cue cards that indicated they had big news to share before revealing that they’re having a baby.

Tay Melo’s last AEW outing came in January 2023 where she and Anna Jay were defeated by Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale in a brutal street fight. Her last match of any kind came in March 2023 when she teamed with Sammy Guevara on an independent show.

After intense speculation about their private life, Melo and Guevara revealed they were in a relationship on New Year’s Day 2022. They announced their engagement in June of that year and were married just two months later in August.

Sammy Guevara was unsuccessful in his quest to become AEW World Champion as MJF retained his title in a show-stealing match.
