What Happened With Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens After The WWE Royal Rumble Went Dark [VIDEO}
The 2023 Royal Rumble ended with a brutal beating on both Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, who were left motionless in the ring as the broadcast went off air.
But footage filmed by a fan has shown what happened after the cameras stopped rolling as referees attended to both superstars.
Owens had challenged Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship in an extremely physical match, which saw Owens speared into the run announcer’s area and smashed into the stairs.
The Tribal Chief retained and orchestrated a post-match beat down, which saw The Bloodline attack a defenseless Owens with a chair and multiple super kicks.
After forcing Sami Zayn to watch on, The Honorary Uce pleaded for the attack to stop before being given orders to use a chair on his former friend and tag team partner. However, Zayn instead hit Reigns, gaining a huge crowd reaction.
This led to a group attack on Zayn, leaving him on his back as fans delivered their anger to The Bloodline as this year’s Rumble concluded.
But thanks to a ringside fan, footage has emerged of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens receiving attention from officials as they look to help both back to their feet as the crowd showed their support with chants of ‘Sami, Sami, Sami’.

As mentioned on TJR Wrestling earlier this week, Sami Zayn had been discussing the crown reaction gained by working as part of The Bloodline, with fans cheering his name each and every week across WWE programming.
“I think what separates this from those first two things, especially is the level of engagement from the audience that is on a whole different level because I’m rubbed up against the top act in the company, top act in the business really.”
Attention will now turn to this week’s Raw and Smackdown as fans look for a response from Zayn and Owens as the road to WrestleMania continues.
