Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens Get New Challengers On SmackDown

Kevin Owens Sami Zayn WWE Tag Team Champions

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have no shortage of teams coming after them for their WWE Tag Team Championship and now one team has confirmed their title shot on SmackDown.

Zayn and Owens became the first team in WWE history to capture the WWE Tag Team Championship in the main event of WrestleMania when they dethroned The Usos for the gold.

Since then the long-time best friends have moved on from being involved in The Bloodline’s ongoing saga and recently retained their title against Imperium.

On SmackDown in Lexington, Kentucky a huge tag team gauntlet match took place to find the next challengers for the title. The Street Profits, The O.C., The Brawling Brutes, The LWO, Pretty Deadly, and Hit Row were all involved with Sheamus and Ridge Holland just about clearing the entire field to claim the title shot.

Unfortunately for them, however, they were stopped at the last moment by Kit Wilson and Elton Prince as Pretty Deadly picked up the win. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens came out to confront their new challengers with Pretty Deadly taking off as an enraged Owens tried to storm the ring to take them out.

Pretty Deadly will get their title match in somewhat friendly surroundings as they challenge for the title on SmackDown in London, England, one night before Money In The Bank.
