Samantha Irvin’s WWE Exit An Eye Opener For Hall Of Famer

One WWE Hall of Famer has given their thoughts on Samantha Irvin’s surprise exit from the company.

Wrestling fans were left stunned when Samantha Irvin announced her exit from WWE just hours before the 21st of October edition of Raw went on the air.

Irvin joined WWE in 2021 and quickly worked her way up the ranks as a ring announcer joining SmackDown in early 2022 before latterly moving to Raw. Following the news of her exit, WWE moved to replace her with the returning Lilian Garcia who handled announcing duties for the company previously between 1999 and 2009 then once again from 2011 to 2016.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, NXT commentator Booker T noted his surprise at Irvin’s departure and noted that she’ll have no issue getting work elsewhere:

That was something that was eye-opening.

When you’re good at what you do, you don’t have to worry about a check coming in the mail.

Samantha Irvin Not Going To AEW

Ricochet has already confirmed that Samantha Irvin is not joining him in AEW. Irvin’s fiancé left WWE earlier in 2024 before making his shock debut for AEW at All In. Ricochet recently left the confines of AEW to attack Konosuke Takeshita as he continues his pursuit of the International Championship.

With a move to AEW not likely to be on the cards for now, the real reason Samantha Irvin chose to leave WWE has seemingly been revealed.
